World Communion Sunday

Sunday, October 5, 10:45  a.m.
 
The yearly recognition of our common bond in the sacrament of the Lord’s Supper with our Christian brothers and sisters, regardless of language, country, or tradition, with those who are around the world. We symbolize this with our liturgy and the use of differing kinds of breads.
 

 

Semi-Annual Meeting of the Congregation.

Sunday, October 12 – 11:45 a.m.
in Fellowship Hall
 
In our desire to have an open and transparent organization, we hold this meeting in a Church Council format that is open to all to hear reports from officers, staff, and committee heads about their activities and provide a time for discussion and questions. All are invited.
 

 

Blessing of the Animals

Sunday, October 12 – 1:00 p.m.

on the front lawn of the Meetinghouse.
 
Bring your pet animals for a brief liturgy and an individual blessing of any creature, big or small. This is a public event.

7:00 p.m.
Doors open for table setup at 6:30 p.m.
 
Gather 6 of your friends and try your mind and powers of recollection! BYOB and snacks.
 
Details: 6 rounds of 10 questions.
3 of the rounds have a 5 point +/- Bonus Round Question.
50/50 raffle – benefiting a local non-profit.

Country Church Christmas Fair

Saturday, December 6

9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Start the holiday season with this event that has become a tradition for so many!

Enjoy the Silent Auction, Wish list of donated gifts and services, The Pantry of goodies to enjoy, the Children’s Corner, Our delicious luncheon, Nice Twice treasures, Third World Crafts, and much more.

 


 

Olde Tyme Christmas Service

Sunday, December 14 – 5:00 p.m.

Join us in the Meetinghouse, decorated with seasonal items, and hear the story of the first Christmas, sing familiar carols, and end it with a special reception afterward.

 


 

Christmas Eve at Roxbury Church

Wednesday, December 24

7:00 p.m. Family Service of Lessons and Carols

11:00 p.m. Candlelight Service with Communion.

All services are open to the public.
