Church Library
We have a wonderful Church Library filled with reference works, church and religion books as well as contemporary books of common interest.
The Children's Library is located in Fellowship Hall near the Nursery Room.
The Adult Library is located in the Office area up the 3 stairs from Fellowship Hall.
Our Church Librarian is Joan Temple, who recently retired as the head of the Library at Shepaug School.
We recently (2024) received a large number of religious books and books on spirituality from the family of Diane Meade.

The Roxbury Congregational Church Library is open to all members of our congregation and community. The mission of the church library is to provide resources that celebrate our faith tradition, expand our understandings and knowledge of the church, challenge us to grow in our personal and collective faith journeys, increase social awareness, foster an appreciation of literature, and provide entertainment while honoring the virtues we value as Christians: those of love, encouragement, inspiration, appreciation for diversity, wisdom, insight, humor and hope.
Our Church Library was started by Esther MacDonald and has grown from a few books on a free-standing bookshelf in the Meetinghouse's Foyer to a full Library with many titles.
Borrowing a book is free, we just ask that you remove the card inside the back cover, mark your name and the date taken and place it in the holder above the White Card Catalog. We ask that books be taken out for 2 weeks at a time.
